Kyrstyn Kumor (also known as kk) is a professional theatre director, filmmaker, writer, actress, dancer, singer, composer, cellist, popstar, knitter, photographer, video editor, and installation artist currently working in Montreal, Québec.

She enjoys investigating every creative impulse and loves getting obsessed with an idea until it fully consumes her. Kyrstyn Kumor thinks of art and ideas as things that are alive with their own wants, needs, and agency. She endlessly asks “How does this idea want to be materialized? What does this idea need from me? Want from me?” until some kind of truth gets revealed. Her work is multidisciplinary because the ideas demand versatility in form!
