Biography

Jacques Couturier is a French actor whose career unfolded both on stage and on television. A passionate man of the theatre, he founded the Petit-Colombier company in Nantes, which was incorporated in 1960 into the city’s Théâtre Dramatique Populaire. He also taught drama at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nantes for more than three decades, training several generations of actors.

On television, he appeared in popular series such as Le Temps des copains, Les Boussardel, and Thierry la Fronde, in which he portrayed the Black Prince in ten episodes. He also took part in the historical series Schulmeister, l’espion de l’empereur, broadcast from 1971, where he played a secondary role with restraint and accuracy, contributing to the period atmosphere of the production.
